본 연구는 폐선부지 공원화 사업의 문제점을 보완하고 새로운 도시재생의 대안으로서의 폐선부지 활용계획을 제안하고자 하는 연구로서 그 대상은 공원화 사업에 의하여 만들어진 경춘선 숲길공원이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 폐선부지가 갖는 역사와 장소성의 속성을 플랫폼이라는 개념을 적용, 건축공간의 계획요소로 치환하여 새로운 도시재생의 대안으로서의 폐선부지 활용계획에 대한 건축적 해법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 계획안의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경춘선 숲길공원에 새로운 기능과 형태의 공간을 계획하기 위하여 과거 경춘선의 철도시설로서의 흔적과 역사의 장소로서의 플랫폼 개념을 적용한다. 둘째, 경춘선 숲길공원에 남아있는 다양한 철도관련시설을 과거와 현재의 가치를 공유할 수 있는 기능적, 형태적 계획요소로 활용한다. 셋째, 계획되는 각각의 플랫폼 공간은 옛 승강장이 갖는 모호한 경계의 속성과 유동적 경계의 속성을 갖도록 계획한다. 본 연구의 계획안은 기억의 장소로서의 폐선부지의 정체성을 드러낼 수 있는 건축공간계획으로서의 의미를 갖는다.
The purpose of this study is to propose an architectural design plan to utilize the derelict railroad site as an alternative of the urban regeneration. The subject of this study is Gyeongchun Forest Park. For this purpose, this study applies the concept of the platform as the property of the history and place of the proposed site and proposes an architectural solution of the derelict railroad line utilization plan as an alternative to the new urban regeneration. The contents of the proposal of this study are as follows. First, the concept of the platform as a place property is applied to the architectural design proposal of the derelict railroad site. Second, various railway facilities in Gyeongchun Forest Park is utilized as functional and morphological planning elements that can share the values of the past and the present. Third, each platform space is planned to have the property of the obscure boundary and the property of the floating boundary of the old railroad station platform. The proposal of this study is meaningful in terms of that it is architectural design plan which can reveal the identity of the derelict railroad site as a place of memory.
