The maker education that affected the social change of the maker movement influenced the education. Through the making process, the learners are able to experience the creative and convergent thinking and problem solving through trial and error. It is attracting much attention in the direction. However, there are not many studies on the maker education for secondary school students in the field of education and there is a lack of educational materials for maker education. Therefore, in this study, bicycle safety accidents are extracted as a case of everyday problems, and bicycle lightening device that can solve the problem based on creative thinking method of design thinking is selected as a manufacturer education subject, and applied it to maker education. Using the PDIE model (Jinsoo Kim, 2012), materials were developed as prototypes of bike lightening device as a product and teaching-learning materials as a program. Through the developed maker education materials, students were able to solve the problem situation around us through thinking process of design thinking. Through the making process of designing and producing their own products for problem solving, learners were given the opportunity to experience maker education and grow as a makers.
