This study is aimed at establishing the basic data for the development of personnel resources maintenance program that can reinforce the personal and organizational aspects of nurses by assessing the effects of positive psychological capital on organization culture and retention intention of the nurses. For data analysis, I have used SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. As a result, there was a significantly positive correlation between the organizational culture and positive psychological capital and there was positive correlation between the organizational culture and the retention intention as well. As such, it is a descriptive investigation study to confirm the mediation effects of positive psychological capital on the relationship between organization culture and retention intention. Through the results of regression analysis to examine the mediation effects, it was possible to confirm partial mediation of effects of optimism in the relationship-oriented culture of the organization culture and retention intention with optimism of positive psychological capital as the parameter. On the basis of the results of this study, there is a need to develop reinforcement program in order for nurses to perform their work with an affirmative way of thinking and confidence themselves from the personal perspective of the nurses, and a need to develop program for improvement of organization culture for the management and administrators from organizational perspective in order to increase the retention intention of the nurses
