The purpose of this study was to analyze importance-performance of influencing factors of regional education network for improving young children s character. The subjects in this study were 344 teachers of kindergarten and child care center located at 6 cities and 4 districts in Korea. The final factors influenced regional education network by literature study are eight factors: vision sharing, leadership, interdependence, resource richness, resource transaction, loop learning, communication, and administrative-financial support. Based on the eight factors, the questionnaire was composed of 16 items that affect the influence of education network between early childhood education institutions & local community resources and 10 item that affect the influence of education network between early childhood education institute & home. Responses of teachers were analyzed by Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of this study are as follows: The strengths of the factors influencing between early childhood education institutions and local community resoures were vision sharing, leadership, resource richness(program), resource exchange. Also, the items of weakness appeared to be factors of financial support and resource richness(human and material resources). On the other hand, the strengths of the factors influencing the networks between early childhood education institutions and home were interdependence, resource transaction, loop learning, and communication. Through these results, the meaning and characteristic of the regional education network for the young children s character development were specified. Also it revealed that not only early childhood education teachers but also local institution, local expert and parents should take responsibility for young children s character education through regional education network.
