This paper is based on the results of the Satisfaction Survey of the Literary Therapy Workshop that was conducted for the parents of children with disabilities. Unlike ordinary parents, the parents of disabled children consider that they should take care of their children for a lifetime rather than letting them become independent. Recently, the establishment of professional institutions for the children with special difficulties and the training projects of professional manpower have been expanded, but the emotional support for their parents who have the greatest influence on their growth has not been achieved yet. For this reason, the researcher emphasizes that the healing program for the parents who care for the children with disabilities should be arranged. The parents who participated in the pilot Emotional Support Workshop based on the Literary Therapy gave their optimistic thoughts on psychological stability, sorting out emotions, positive thinking, communication excluding evaluation and judgment, etc. For the future operation of the Emotional Support program, the parents who participated in the workshop suggested increasing the number of events, small groups of 4~5 people, and detailed advance promotion about the workshop. In order to achieve a healthy growth of children with special needs, not only support for such children but also stress-relieving programs for the primary caregivers and family-based Emotional Support programs should be provided.
