This research thesis was aimed at finding out how 'animal assisted program' will have effects on walking ability and social skills among visual handicap elementary pupils. To do it, this thesis conducted a survey of visual handicap elementary pupils: the two blind boys in the second grade, and the one boy with bad sight in the fourth grade.
In this regard, 'attending dog helper' and 'animal assisted program' devised by researchers were applied sixteen times for about two months. The research results are as follows:
In the first place, 'animal assisted program' can help visual handicap elementary pupils identify, develop and enhance their physical organism, positions, sensory systems and movements as the sub-factors related to walking ability.
Second, 'animal assisted program' can help visual handicap elementary pupils reduce antisocial and rebellious ill-adaptation behaviors as the sub-factors related to social development.
Thus, this research program can be concluded as being commonly wide-spread to not only visual disorder but also any other disorders.
