본 연구에서는 청소년 기업가정신과 청소년 기업가정신교육에 대해 한국과 미국의 동향을 비교하여 시사를 얻고자 하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 각 나라별로 기업가정신교육 배경 및 특징, 교육과정, 그리고 기업가정신교육 대표 프로그램들을 살펴보고 비교 분석했다. 청소년 기업가정신의 교육은 새로운 시대의 변화에 대응하기 위해 사고력과 행동력을 강화하기 위한 노력으로 이루어지고 있다. 논의결과 미국과 한국 역시 이러한 사회적 변화에 부응하고자 하는 노력을 거치고 있지만, 한국의 경우는 기업가 정신 교육이 만족스럽지 못한 실정임 드러났다. 미국은 Junior Achievement식 ASK모델을 사용하고 있다. 그에 반해 한국은 표준 창업교육 콘텐츠가 없기에 체계적이지 못하고 적극적인 교육 개발과 보급의 시급하다는 결과를 도출하였다. 그래서 종합적인 기업가 정신 교육과 운영을 위한 전문적인 기관의 필요성을 제시하였다. 한국은 표준 창업교육 콘텐츠가 없어 체계적이지 못하여 적극적인 교육 개발과 보급이 시급하다. 미국은 국가차원에서 교육을 주도하고 있었지만 재단들이 더 활발하게 교육을 진행하고 있다.
This study is to understand the entrepreneurship of youth and entrepreneurship education of youth, to examine the characteristics of entrepreneurship education of youth between South Korea and United States.
