This research aims to observe lifelong education participants’ participation motivation and awareness of later life preparation, find factors that affect their life quality, and thus suggest methods to improve the life quality of lifelong education participants. A survey was carried out on education participants living in k area from December 2, 2017 until January 5, 2018, and there was a total survey response rate of 98.8% (247 responses), excluding those that were unsuitable. Research results showed that there was a positive correlation between lifelong education participants’ participation motivation and awareness of later life preparation on their life quality, and further verification showed a statistically significant effect on social participation (β=.435, p〈.001), a sub factor of later life preparation. When compared with the standardized coefficient, social participation had a big influence and explanation power of 74.8%. Therefore, program development and alternative policies are essential for lifelong education participants’ active social participation.
