This study was conducted in order to investigate the life stress level of nursing students. The participants were 396 nursing students of a university in Chungcheongbuk-do gathered through convenience sample method. Data were collected through the survey from March, 9 to 12, 2018 and analyzed using SPSS/PC Win 18.0 program. The results of study were as follows, the mean score of life stress of nursing students was 2.31 out of 5. The mean score of academic problem was the highest among the mean score of life stress. By subfactors, mean score of interpersonal relationship stress and urgent problem stress is each 1.78 and 2.77 out of 5. The mean score of life stress significantly differed according to gender(t=-3.91, p<.001), grade(F=3.57, p<.05), and economic status(F=21.38, p<.001). The mean score of life stress of male is higher than that of female, the mean score of life stress of junior was higher than that of other students, and the mean score of life stress of students with low economic status was higher than those of other classes. In conclusion, the management of the life stress of nursing students needs more intensive care for female students, junior students, financially difficult students in university.
