『Songshijinghualu(宋詩精華錄)』 is a collection of poetry that is selected and evaluated by applying his own poetic theories for the purpose of opposing the traditional ‘admires Tang neglects Song’tendency to learn poetry. The poetic theory of Chenyan(陳衍) can be divided into two parts. One is the essence of the succession relation of Tang Song poetry. It encompasses the style and school of poetry of many poets of two dynasties, and a detailed description of a specific work. The other one is the theory of general poetry, and the essence of poetry and criticism of individual works using it. The former is closely related to his‘Sanyuan(三元)’ theory, and the latter reflects his aesthetic viewpoint of appreciating the ancient poetry. These two can also be said to have a close relationship with the 『Songshijinghualu(宋詩精華錄)』, which he selected, edited, and rated. Chenyan(陳衍) marked the points of the poetry that he edited and edited, and shows the evaluation of his poetic theory and poetry by annexing partly in plain. In fact, these criticism terms were often quoted as fragmentary material to those studying Songshi(宋詩). The contents of the criticism terms are very broad and include the analysis of the meaning of the title, the discussion of the writing method, the discussion of merit, the search for the source, the classification and comparison of the two, the description of the influence of the latter, and the problem of correcting the problem. Also, when some of the critical terms is a little long, most of them have been discussing the characteristics of the poetry of the individual artists with the opportunity or explaining the tendency of the style of a certain poetry in an improvised manner. In this paper, firstly, we extracted the items with a close relation with the theory of poetry in the attached praise to 688 pieces of works selected in the 『Songshijinghualu(宋詩精華錄)』. We tried to understand the meaning of critical terms by translating the extracted critical terms at the same time and translating the original poem. I narrowed down the scope of research here and concluded by summarizing the relation between ‘succession relation of Tang Song poetry’ and ‘commentary of individual works’. Finally, we extracted the representative theoretical theory of the Chenyan(陳衍) shown in 『Shiyishi-shihua(石遺室詩話)』, I examined the relation between criticism terms of 『Songshijinghualu(宋詩精華錄)』 and poetic theory of 『Shiyishi-shihua(石遺室詩話)』.
