본 연구에서는 첫째 자녀가 초․중․고등학교에 재학하고 있는 아버지를 대상으로 학교․지역사회 프로그램 참여 유형을 분류하고, 유형별로 관련요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인으로 조사한 학부모 설문조사 자료를 사용하여 아버지 605명을 분석하였다. 아버지의 프로그램 참여 유형을 분류하기 위해 잠재계층분석을 실시하였으며, 참여 유형과 관련된 요인을 살펴보기 위해 다항로짓 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 학교․지역사회 프로그램 참여 유형은 ‘모든 프로그램 미참여’ 집단, ‘모든 프로그램 참여’ 집단, ‘봉사 프로그램 참여’ 집단, ‘교육정보 프로그램 참여’ 집단, ‘상담 프로그램 참여’ 집단으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 아버지의 학교․지역사회 프로그램 참여 유형의 관련요인은 집단에 따라 차이가 있었다. ‘모든 프로그램 참여’ 집단은 자녀교육에 대한 관심수준이, ‘봉사 프로그램 참여’ 집단과 ‘교육정보 프로그램 참여’ 집단은 가구소득, 자녀 학교급, 자녀교육에 대한 관심수준이 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 학교․지역사회 프로그램에 참여하는 아버지의 내적인 다양성을 보여주었다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study is to identify latent classes of fathers’ participation in school and community programs and to analyze factors affecting the latent classes. For this purpose, we used the parent survey data collected by Center for Family-School Partnership Policy Research at Seoul National University. 605 fathers were selected as analysis subjects. Latent class analysis and multinomial logit regression analysis were conducted to identify the types of fathers’ participation and to analyze the influence of relevant factors. As a result of the analysis, fathers’ participation were classified into five latent classes: the group not participating in all programs; the group participating in all programs; the group participating in counseling programs; the group participating in volunteer programs; and the group participating in child education programs. Second, the factors influencing the types of fathers’ participation varied among the groups. The results of this study are significant in that fathers’ participation can be divided into various types.
