The purpose of this study was to develop STEAM education program using traditional science knowledges. To this purpose, the STEAM education program was developed on the theme of traditional science knowledge in Jeju s tangible and intangible cultural heritages. We have developed a STEAM program that linked various experience activities and post-activities using cultural heritage that expressed Jeju s unique environment and lifestyle. In particular, we attempted a fusion approach through STEAM education in order to link various subject areas while utilizing traditional science knowledge. For this purpose, we conducted a survey and field trips on Jeju cultural heritage sites. We also extracted the traditional science knowledge contained in the cultural heritage surveyed. Previous studies were reviewed to develop the STEAM program for extracted local resources. Based on the results of the survey, program components were selected and the development framework was constructed by linking the elements of STEAM education. As a result of previous studies, educational objectives, teaching-learning contents, teaching-learning methods, and learning outcomes were selected as program components. The contents, materials, and activities of program were developed based on the program development framework. The worksheets were developed to reflect the convergence factors of the windows so as to show the character of the STEAM education program. The program developed in this study can be used in the field of experiential learning, free schooling, subject class, and STEAM class in actual education field. Especially, this program developed various activities, discussions, surveys, etc. Therefore, there is a high possibility that it can be utilized in the education field.
