The purpose of this study was to improve the adaptation to university life for underachieving students. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, developmental research methods were used. For this purpose, both a literature survey and a forming research were applied. In the literature survey, keyword was determined as ‘underachievement’, ‘adaptation to university life’ and ‘class model’ and a draft model was drawn by deriving the core value and core processes of the model. And that, improvement points were extracted after applying the draft model to the field. The draft model was revised and supplemented to form the completed model. The core value of the model was as follows; (1) ‘Strengthening of an underachieving student’s foundation of support through an organic relation between a teacher and a student’, (2) ‘Raising of a reflective thinking through the study experience of actual problem solving’, (3) ‘Developing of a community spirit and a collaboration ability’. The core processes were divided into “pre-class activity”, “in class activity” and “post-class activity”. Detail activity process was derived in all 11 steps. It was extracted as step of a LMS system formation, an academic warning recipient check, an advance curriculum notification, a looking back (self-searching, self-understanding, in-depth self-interview), overcoming together (real problem sharing, data collection, cooperation, discussion, mutual exchanges and results presentation), an assessment (self-evaluation, peer evaluation, team assessment) and a reflection (self-reflection, team reflection). It was expected that the research results provide the student who had academic difficulties in university of the experience and the knowledge to be able to overcome and become independently, and give the basic data for successful university life for them through this study.
