본 연구에서는 개인요인뿐 아니라 대학교육요인이 대학생의 중도탈락 의도에 어떤 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 한다. 이를 통해 재학생들의 중도탈락 의도를 낮추고 학업 지속 환경을 조성하기 위해 대학 차원에서 노력해야 할 사항을 도출하고자 한다. 연구의 결과와 이를 바탕으로 한 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여학생보다 남학생이 중도탈락 의도를 지닐 확률이 높기 때문에, 남학생들을 대상으로 집중적인 컨설팅을 제공함으로써 대학생활의 의미를 회복할 수 있도록 돕는 것이 필요하다. 둘째, 학년이 낮을수록 중도탈락 의도를 지닐 확률이 높기 때문에, 신입생을 대상으로 미래 비전을 설정하고 대학생활의 학업계획 및 비교과 활동 계획을 세우는 등의 지원 프로그램을 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 내국인 재학생보다 외국인 유학생이 중도탈락 의도를 지닐 확률이 높기 때문에, 외국인 유학생들의 선발에 신중할 필요가 있으며, 이들의 대학생활 적응을 돕기 위한 적극적인 제도 개선이 필요하다. 넷째, 대학교육의 질과 관련된 4개 하위요인 중에서 교육성과 만족도가 낮을수록 중도탈락 의도를 높아지는 것으로 나타났으므로, 재학생들에게 자신의 비전과 진로를 설정할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램을 제공해야 한다.
This research studied how individual factors and university educational factors influenced on dropout intent of university students. And it suggested that university to do to reduce dropout intention of students, and to create study continue condition. Results of this research and suggestions based on it are as follows. First, because male tend to have higher rates of dropout intention than female, we need to help male have meaning of school life, by provided them with intensive consulting. Second, because lower grades tend to have higher rates of dropout intention than upper grades, we need to help lover have future vision in major, and to provide programs as curriculum study plan and extra-curriculum participation plan. Third, because foreigners tend to have higher rates of dropout intention than Locals, we need to select carefully selection of foreigners, and needs to be reformed to help adaptation of their university life. Four, because the lower ‘education performance’ among satisfaction factors for high university education quality have higher rates of dropout intention, we need to help students establish future vision.
