In this paper, to try the integrated thinking in music class at Liberal Arts, it is suggested to view musical concept ‘Rhythm’ in different way from traditional standards. This is expected to help students cultivate the integrated and creative thinking, and also improve their ability of physical expression, cooperation, communication in group activities. For this, the criteria of proposed activities are as follow; at first, in rhythm through temporal flow, second, in coloristic combination in rhythmic ensemblem, and finally in eurythmics. Each activity consists of, first, writing down in concrete by personal experience from their abstract understanding, second, creating and playing rhythmic ensemble in various timbral voices, and the third, expressing the flexible music of improvisational nature physically. Although, it is hard to identify how developed such activities help students’ ability concretely, it gives chances to non music- major to experience the musical communication and thinking through the activities as well as sensitivity which is basic substance in music.
