이 연구는 문헌연구로서 W.C.C.의 교회일치에 대한 의문점을 가지고 W.C.C.의 신학사상을 검토하여 이를 칼빈의 신학사상에 비추어 합리적인 결론에 도달하고자 한다. W.C.C.에 대한 비판을 통해 올바른 교회일치의 이론을 정립하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 한국교회에서의 W.C.C.와 관련한논의를 검토해볼 때, 그간의 W.C.C.의 교회일체에 관한 논쟁에 있어서 매우 피상적이었고, 그 결과W.C.C. 문제를 합리적으로 해결하지 못하게 만드는 요인으로 작용하였다. 본 연구 결과 바람직한 교회일체를 위해서는, 첫째, 그리스도의 교회가 하나의 교회라는 사실을 인식할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 기존의 공통적 교회 현실을 인정해야 한다. 셋째, 다른 교회와의 공통점을 다른 교회의 관점에서 자신의 교회에서 실현시켜야 한다. 넷째, 진리를 희생시켜서는 안 된다. 결론적으로 바람직한 교회일치는W.C.C.에서 주장하는 전 세계적인 기구 통합과는 아무런 관계가 없으며, 오직 믿음의 일치, 교회본질의 일치, 분열불가의 원칙 등이 적용될 때 비로소 달성될 수 있다고 본다.
This study examines the W.C. theological thought of W.C.C. with the question of church unity and intends to reach a rational conclusion in light of Calvin s theological thought. The purpose of this study is to establish the theories of correct church unity through the criticism of W.C.C.. Considering the discussion of W.C.C. in Korean churches, it was very superficial in the controversy over W.C.C. s whole church, and as a result W.C.C. It was a factor that prevented the problem from being resolved reasonably. Especially, in the Korean situation, liberalism and religious pluralism are very difficult issues for Korean conservative church to accept. For a desirable church, First, we need to recognize that the Church of Christ is a church.\nSecond, we must acknowledge the existing common church reality. Third, the commonalities with other churches should be realized in their churches from the perspective of other churches. Fourth, do not sacrifice truth. In conclusion, good church unity has nothing to do with global institutional integration as claimed by the W.C.C. and can only be achieved when the unity of faith, the unity of church essence, and the principle of non-divisibility principles are applied.
