This study was performed to identify the factors affecting the dementia attitude of university students, and to provide basic data on dementia education program. It was conducted from 1 to 31, March, 2018 for 230 students of C university. The questionnaire consisted of the knowledge, attitudes, and needs of dementia preventive education on dementia. Analysis was done using SPSS 21.0 version, discriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, pearson s correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression. The results: there were statistically significant differences in dementia attitudes according to gender, thought of supporting parents, interest in dementia problems, presence of dementia among family members, and disclosure of family member s dementia (p<.05). The most important factor affecting the dementia attitude was the need for dementia prevention education (β= .391, p<.001), followed by the interest in dementia problems (β=-.322, p<.001), disclosure of family member s dementia (β=-.322, p<.001) and dementia among family members (β=-.322, p<.001). The explanatory power was 40.6%. In conclusion, this study is expected to provide the basic data for the development of dementia education programs for university students.
