본 연구는 폭력에 대한 부모의 허용적 태도가 자녀의 또래괴롭힘 경험에 영향을 미치는 경로를 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 서울시내 중학생과 그 부모들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 매칭시킨 597사례에 대해 분석을 실시하였으며, 선행연구에 기반하여 연구모형을 설정한 뒤 구조방정식을 통해 경로를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 폭력에 대한 부모의 허용적 태도는 부모의 양육태도와 부모 자녀 간 유대감을 거치거나 또는 직접적으로 자녀의 폭력에 대한 허용도에 영향을 미치며, 이를 매개로 하여 자녀의 또래괴롭힘 가해 또는 피해 경험에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 기반하여 이론적 함의 및 학교폭력예방프로그램과 관련한 실천적 개입 방안에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the paths of related variables that exert an influence upon the increase of experiences of school violence, especially effects of levels of acceptance of violence of their parents. The data was taken from a survey which was conducted upon middle school students and their parents in the Seoul area, and 597 matched cases were used for analysis. Based on preceding research exercisesthe research model was composed and analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results are as follows: the levels of acceptance of violence by parents directly influenced the level of accepting violence by their children and also did so indirectly through parenting behavior and parent-child bonding. Moreover, the levels of acceptance of violence of children influenced theirexperiences of school violence. From these results, various theoretical and practical implications for social work practice focusing on improving school violence prevention program were discussed. In particular, programs aimed at decreasing the levels of acceptance of violence on the part of parents are most urgently needed. Key words : school violence, level of accepting violence, bullying
