본 연구에서는 빈곤가정 부모의 양육행동, 자아존중감, 부모효능감 향상을 목표로 해결중심집단프로그램을 개발하고 지역아동센터에 자녀를 보내는 빈곤부모들을 대상으로 적용하여 프로그램의 효과성을 분석하였다. 프로그램은 주 1회, 2시간씩, 총 6주에 걸쳐서 실시하였으며, 프로그램의 효과성은 실험집단과 통제집단의 비교분석을 통해 양육행동척도. 자아존중감척도, 부모효능감척도를 사용하여 검증하였다. 이를 위해 사전조사, 사후조사, 그리고 프로그램 종료 4주 후 추후조사를 각각 실시하였으며 Chi-square 검정, Wilcoxon 부호순위 검정, Mann-Whitney U 검정을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 통제집단에 참여한 부모에 비해 실험집단에 참여한 빈곤부모의 합리적인 양육행동은 증가하였고, 강압적인 양육행동은 감소하였으며, 자아존중감이 향상되었고 부모효능감이 증가함으로써 프로그램의 효과성이 검증되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과가 가족치료 실천에 갖는 시사점을 논의하였다.
This study sought to verify the effectiveness of a six-week Solution-Focused Group Program for low-income parents, helping them, in two-hour sessions, to enhance their childrearing practices and increase theirself-esteem and sense of competence. Participants included 16 mothers and fathers of elementary school children; eight were assigned to the experimental group and eightto the control group. The pre- and post-test scores of the two groups were analysed and compared using chi-square, the Man-Whitney U test, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks test. Measurements included the Conflict Tactics Scale, the Self-Esteem Scale, the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale, and solution-focused scaling questions. Results revealed significant differences between the two groups in terms of the changes made in all three areas, thereby confirming the effectiveness of the program. The authors conclude that the program could be successfully employed by community-based family therapists to strengthen healthy family functioning.
