This study aims to contribute to the establishment of social security network of the elderly living alone, who are constantly on the rise. This can be done by presenting new residential welfare models for stability in their living, after studying the residential environment of the elderly living alone (single household) and identifying the situation.
Consequently, the study directions of residential welfare models to establish policy for the following have been set so as to stabilize the living of the elderly living alone: living and cultural space suitable for the characteristics of the elderly living alone, their economic security, external environmental conditions fit them, internal spatial plan suitable for them, infrastructure establishment without inconvenience in their living and policy making for the residential welfare models for the elderly living alone.
In line with such directions, this study has drawn new conceptual residential welfare models, such as common residential welfare model, collective residential welfare model and complex residential welfare model by building a factor correlations network of people-welfare-building domains.
