본 연구는 청소년기 손자녀를 둔 저소득 조손가정을 위한 조부모교육프로그램을 실시 함으로 조부모양육역할에 대한 효능감을 증진시키고 청소년 손자녀에 대한 이해와 의사소통에 긍정적인 변화를 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 청소년기 손자녀를 둔 조모 7명을 대상으로 120분씩 총 6회기에 걸쳐서 프로그램과 1회의 추수모임을 실시하였고, 각 참여자들의 행동관찰기록을 통해 회기별 프로그램 과정 양상과 개인별 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과로는, 첫째, 회기별 프로그램 과정 양상은 회기가 지나면서 집단 응집력이 강하게 형성되고 참여자들이 자기노출, 공감, 문제해결에 대한 협력적인 자세로 적극적인 참여를 보였으며 이 과정에서 조부모양육역할에 대한 인식과 태도의 변화를 나타냈다. 둘째, 개인별 변화는 조부모 자신과 손자녀에 대한 이해도가 높아지고, 문제의 원인을 외부에 두기 보다는 자신이 변화해야 한다는 주체적인 태도를 보였으며, 손자녀가 청소년기이기 때문에 보여지는 발달적 특성에 대한 이해, 손자녀와의 적절한 의사소통 방법, 갈등해결방법에 대한 인식과 기술이 증진되었다. 본 연구의 의의는 조손가정을 위한 조부모교육프로그램을 실시함에 있어서 손자녀의 발달단계를 고려함으로서 프로그램의 효과를 극대화하고, 코칭기술을 활용한 다양한 활동을 통해 손자녀 양육에 필요한 양육기술을 습득시켰으며, 조손가정이 갖고 있는 잠재력을 이끌어냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
This research is to enhance effectiveness on the role of grandparents raising grandparents, by conducting educational programs for low-income grandparent- grandchildren family having adolescent grandchildren and is to derive a positive change in understanding and communication with adolescent grandchildren. In order to meet this goal, a total of six sessions of 120 minute program and a conference program targeting seven grandmothers raising adolescent grandchildren were conducted and the patterns of sessional program and individual change were also analyzed by recording the actions of each participants. This study is concluded as followed: Firstly, a strong group cohesion was formed as sessional programs go on and the participants became co-operative in exposing themselves and expressing empathy, and problem-solving and also participants showed changes in awareness and attitude on grandparents parenting role in this process. Secondly, this individual changes resulted in growing understanding between grandparents and their grandchildren and showed a subject attitude that they must change themselves rather than the cause of the problem comes from outside and enhanced understanding on the adolescent developmental characteristics of their grandchildren, appropriate communication methods with grandchildren, and awareness and skills on conflict resolution. It is meaningful that this study was to maximize the effectiveness of the program by considering the developmental stage in executing educational programs for grandparent- grandchildren families, and to present parenting skills needed to care for their grandchildren through a variety of activities using coaching skills, and finally to lead out a potential of grandparent-grandchildren family.
