Combined with art therapy, speech therapy's effect on the problem behavior of articulation disorders child and articulation of accuracy.
The purpose of this case study was to investigate the effect of art therapy, speech therapy with the problem behavior of articulation disorders child.
1) Does the combined with art therapy, speech therapy effect the artuculation accuracy of
articulation disorders child?
2) Does the combined with art therapy, speech therapy effect the problem behavior of
articulation disorders child?
The subject participated weekly 2 session in the art therapy program for 2 months (Nov.
2002.~ Dec. 2002) and in the speech therapy program for 2 months (Jan. 2003 ~ Feb. 2003)
for one articulation disorders child.
This art therapy program was composed of three steps: the beginning, the middle and the last. The goal of this art therpy program was to improve the expression and recover the self-esteem of child.
This speech therapy program was composed of three steps: establishment, stabilization
and preservation. The goal of this speech therpy program was to improve the articulation
accuracy and the sentence length.
The results of this study were as follow:
First, the combined art therapy, speech therapy program was improved with articulation accuracy and sentence expression.
Second, the combined art therapy, speech therapy was improved with the improvement of
problem behavior.
Finally, even if this study has a limit of single case study, this study is significant in case study and it needs more studys.
