The purpose of this thesis is to develop a group counseling program for middle school students who committed school violence and find whether the program is effective in increasing self-esteem and emotional stability of the students. The subjects were perpetrated school violence and recommended by guidance teachers in Busan city. The 24 students were assigned into an experimental group and a control group, with 12 students in each group. The subjects in the experimental group participated in 10 sessions for 3 days. Statistical program SPSS / PC + 12.0 was used to investigate the effects ANCOVA was performed. The results of the study are as follows: First, the students in the experimental group, who participated in the group counseling program showed significant increase in the scores of the self-esteem test compared with those in the control group who did not participate_ in the program.
Second, the students in the experimental group, who participated in the group counseling program showed significant increase in the scores of the emotional stability test compared with those in the control group who did not participate in the program.
