This study was administered by LMT oriented art therapy to the subject who had avoidant
behavior and could not attend classes.
The procedures of the study involved an analysis and evaluation of the child’s status, and then proceeded to LMT oriented art therapy which was followed by collage, scribble story making, drawing, and so on, which was considered to be appropriate to the subject.
In addition, each session had counseling with the child’s mother, since it was concluded
that domestic differences would give a trauma in the emotional aspect of the child.
The results of the study were as follows: First. behavior problems which the child had in the initial session were not eliminated, but decreased to what extent the child could at least participate in a class without going around or running away from the classroom Second, the child's avoidant reaction was completely eliminate, so that he could get along with his peers and a1so have an interest in a stranger in the classroom, asking "who is this ?" Third, nontheless, the child still had persistence to an object which could disturb his adaptation to the school. For an example, he had a strong persistence to a computer to an extent which he could not control his behavior.
As above, although a continuous treatments had been needed to child. it seemed to be concluded that the child’s class attendance and avoidant behavior were improved through LMT oriented art therapy.
