"The purpose of this study is how Group Art Therapy affects on the change of frequency of reducing negative attempts and reactive behaviors and increasing positive attempts and reactive behaviors in Asperger syndrome children social interactive behaviors. The subjects of this study four elementary school students, who diagnosed as Asperger syndrome and scored under 90 of SSRS. As a single subject research in the AB design, this study has three periods; the base line, the group art therapy intervention and the maintenance. The social interactive behaviors of the children were observed for 10 minutes free time at the beginning of the each period. In addition, in order to see the generalization of intervention effects in the relationship among normal children in school, KSD changes were investigated. Findings from this study are as follows; First, Group Art Therapy by cooperative activity increased the positive attempts of an Asperger syndrome children social interaction. Second, Group Art Therapy by cooperative activity increased the positive reactive behaviors of an Asperger syndrome children social interaction. Third, Group Art Therapy by cooperative activity negligibly changed the negative attempts of an Asperger syndrome children social interaction. Fourth, Group Art Therapy by cooperative activity reduced the negative reactive behaviors of an Asperger syndrome children social interaction. Fifth, Group Art Therapy increased the total score of KSD. Therefore, Group Art Therapy by cooperative activity is an effective intervention method, because it increased the positive attempts and the positive reactive behaviors and reduced the negative reactive behaviors and also increased the total score of KSD, even though hardly reduced the negative attempts of an Asperger syndrome children social interaction.
