본 연구에서는 중년기 부부 105쌍을 대상으로 애착 유형에 따른 배우자에 대한 보살핌과 긍정적 환상, 그리고 결혼만족도와 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계를 알아보았다. 연구에 참여한 부부의 애착유형은 남편과 아내 모두 안정애착이 가장 많았다. 애착유형에 따른 배우자에 대한 보살핌과 긍정적 환상 점수에서는 안정형 애착 아내는 불안정 애착 아내보다 보살핌의 세 가지 하위영역 모두에서 높게 나타났으나, 남편의 경우에는 민감성과 협동성에서 일부 집단 간에만 차이가 나타났다. 배우자에 대한 긍정적 환상 평가에서는 안정형 남편과 아내 모두 불안정한 집단에 비해 배우자를 더 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 애착유형에 따른 결혼만족도를 보면, 남편과 아내 모두 안정형 애착일 경우가 불안정 애착일 경우보다 결혼만족도가 더 높았다. 주관적 안녕감에서는 안정형 애착 아내는 불안정 애착 유형의 아내에 비해 생활만족도와 정서적 안녕감 모두 높았으나, 안정형 애착 남편은 불안정 애착 유형의 남편에 비해 정서적 안녕감만 높았다. 안정애착, 배우자에 대한 보살핌 및 긍정적 환상이 결혼만족도와 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석한 결과, 남편과 아내 모두 안정애착이 결혼만족도, 주관적 안녕감, 보살핌, 긍정적 환상에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 배우자에 대한 보살핌과 긍정적 환상은 남편과 아내의 결혼만족도와 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 남편과 아내의 안정애착에서 결혼만족도와 주관적 안녕감에 이르는 경로모델을 탐색한 결과 배우자에 대한 보살핌만 유의한 매개변인으로 나타났다.
\"The main purpose of this study was to investigate effects of attachment, care-giving and positive illusion on marital satisfaction and subjective well-being in 105 middle-aged couples. The results can be summarized as follows. First, secure attached husbands and wives rated to their partners more positively than the other three insecure attached groups. Second, secure attached wives gave more care-giving to their husband such as in proximity, sensitive responses, and cooperation than the insecure attached wives, but secure attached husbands gave more care-giving to their wives in two areas, namely sensitive responses and cooperation, more so than the insecure attached husbands. Third, husbands and wives classified as having secure attachment showed levels of higher marital satisfaction than the three groups with insecure attachment. Fourth, secure attached wives reported both higher levels of life satisfaction and emotional well-being than the three groups of insecure attached wives, but secure attached husbands reported higher levels only in terms of emotional well-being than the three groups of insecure attached husbands. Regression analysis revealed that marital satisfaction, subjective well-being, care-giving, and positive illusion were positively affected by the secure attachment of the couples. Finally, it was found that care-giving was a mediating variable influencing marital satisfaction.
