"The purpose of this study is to draw out concretely the several factors which influence North Korean defection children's self concept, and so prepare the intervention measures which enable them to adapt themselves well to South Korean society.
The subjects of this study were the North Korean defection children of age 7-15 who had been lived in South Korea for more than 6 months. This study analyzed 139 copies of the questionnaires which investigators drew up by visiting all the regions of our country. As data processing, this study executed the statistical processing by using SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. As frequency analysis, multiple regression analysis.
The results of this study are as follows. The variables, which influenced directly the self concept, were the education level of father, family members living together in South Korea, and
Parent support and teacher support.
