This study purposes to examine the effects by administering simutaneously
the art therapy and the speech therapy(composed according to behavior
therapy approach) of delayed child in language and social skills
The method of this study is as fo11ows:
First of a11, the speech therapy is administered because it is thought that
the subject’s language developmental delay results from the deficits of
personal relations.
From is sessions, the art therapy program that is able to give out the
frustration is administered simulitaneously with speech therapy program.
The art therapy program is composed with plastic activity, drawing, and
handicrafts using the colored papers
The resalts of the study, the speech therapy program designed by behavior
therapy approach is effective in improving the language development. And it
is thought that the art therapy helps giving out frustration dued to
inappropriate environment. In addition to that acquired language from speech
therapy and improved emotion from art therapy are aidied each other.
Therefore it is suggested that this combined therapy is effective in
improvement of social skills and global development.
