International education has a long history. It helps to pursue and maintain world peace, the education
of the young, which focuses on how nations and people can work in harmony to achieve international
cooperation and understanding. In a knowledge-based world, with prosperous economy and
sophisticated information technology, the world is moving towards globalization, human resources is
being reallocated, resulting in a need in educational globalization. Therefore, this article proposes the
promotion of international education and integration of international curriculum to foster whole
person development. International curriculum is not just a curriculum that used in international school,
though it should be a curriculum that promotes international learning which should include cultures,
languages, environmental studies, political relations, religions, geography and history of the world. In
the meantime, both local and international schools should implement international curriculum for the
world citizens. This study compares the curriculum in international and local kindergartens and
provides suggestions for kindergartens to foster international education. In the meantime,
international curriculum should begin at the foundation stage so that the next generation will adapt
and accommodate to this change easily. Last but not the least, an abiding purpose of international
education is necessary for the millennium to enhance international learners to face the future world.
