The purpose of this study was to figure out the difficulties of parenting that mothers who were having a multicultural family explores and who lived in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. They were born from ethnic Koreans in China, Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia. These mothers have taken care of the children who were young less than 5 years of age. The targets of this study were 11 mothers who were having a multicultural family and who were parenting preschoolers, case studies were performed through in-depth interviews and record. It had the steps of interpretation of the meaning about research topics. The results of the study were as follows: first, it was a difficulty of communication. Ethnic Koreans mothers in China and mothers from other countries had common difficulties that Korean is difficult to read and write. When their children went to kindergarten, they were difficult to communicate with teachers about child problem due to speak and write in the limit. Second, these were discrimination and prejudice from the korean society. They were worried because their children would get teasing and discrimination because mothers were foreigners.
