This case study is on the treatment case with the sand play for a six year old girl who had
psychological problems such as the separation anxiety from motherhood and the shrinkage in her
pear relationships. It is to analyze the play itself and play theme with the sand play box, and the
process of generation and differentiation of child self-identity. The results of the analysis are as
follows: The generation process of child self-identity passes through several stages; It passes through
the stage of the unconsciousness world which has no boundary and classification and chaos is
repeated; Its energy grows through the struggles of conflicts and oppositions, and, at the same time,
the energy finds its directions, and then it pops up and down to the consciousness world through
the horizon dividing unconsciousness and consciousness worlds; Through this process, self-identity is
formed and develops. Furthermore, it was found out that the self grows through expressing her
adjustment with groups, the problem of early childhood. Symbolic activities through the sand play
treatment proved to be helpful to form and develop the self-identity, overcome her separation anxiety
from her mother, and adjust well in the interrelationship with groups like pear groups after entering
the elementary school, which is the first gateway to the outside world
