The participants in the present study were 20 children aged 3, 4 years from K and M nurseries
located at Samcheok city in Gangwon province. The experimental group was 20 children from K
class, and the comparative group was 20 children from M class. Cooking activities using the
children's story were conducted on the experimental group 20 children once a week for 8 weeks, 8
times in total. The researchers and form master planed the cooking activities about the selected 8
children's story closely connected the life themes in the standard childcare curriculum developed by
the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. The results of this study are as follows: First, the
cooking activities with young children's story had affect on the improvement of young children's
creativity. Second, the cooking activities had affect on the curiosity, flow, commitment and
independence in creativity.
