The main purpose of this study was to investigate the creative product difference between
creative thinking ability and creative personality high and low groups. in primary school
students. The subjects of this study consisted of 117 4th graders, selected for a class of
unit, in public elementary schools located in Seoul, Korea. In this study, for children's
creativity, Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, Creative Personality Scale, Essay by
subjective assessment (Hennessey & Amabile, 1999) for creative product were used. The
collected data were analyzed by using the 16.0 SPSS program. The data were also tested by
using the t-test, correlation and multiple regression.
The major results of this study were as follows; First, creative thinking ability and
creative personality have significant effect on the students creative product between the
upper and low groups. Secondly, the multiple regression analyses demonstrated that the
creative thinking ability and creative personality's sub factors were the significant predictors
of the creative product. Finally, limitation of this study and the direction for future research
were discussed.
