We still have lots of problems unsolved in our compensation system, even though proper compensations such as honorable treatments or financial considerations should be given, in correspondence with the sacrifices and contributions of the fallen soldiers who died to defend the freedom and sovereignty of the country in the 6.25 War, to their bereaved family.
Especially the current system, which unilaterally excludes the bereaved children from the pension provision simply because they come of age, is causing a significant problem of partiality. The bereaved children lost their fathers during the 6.25 war when most of them were around the age of 4 or 5. In the case of that their mothers remarried, the bereaved children had to pass adverse time being left at their relatives or even orphanages. Also since most of them missed the chances for higher education, their poverty were apt to be handed over generations to generations. So this paper proposes that the government correct this problem promptly, restore the rights of the bereaved children for pension benefit, and furthermore provide them with various governmental and social supports and cares. It would be these efforts that can set right the honor of the fallen soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the country in the 6.25 War.
