This study, a Residential Facilities for the Disabled is surrounded with environmental variation of social
welfare and the influence of market directivity at this point of time, was conducted to promote efficiency of
the facility management follow up a foreseeable factors for competitiveness which led to the excellent outcomes
compare to other facilities in accordance with a principle of market economy under competition and survival.
To investigate the cause of the occurrence of disparity in competitiveness between the facilities, a
framework centering around the resource based view of Barney by internal resource factor were set up in this
study. Thereafter, questionnaire for the purpose of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) sent to the general officers
in 347 facilities where is registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in December 2008. 139
questionnaires of them were withdraw and 119 questionnaires except insincerity questionnaires were analyzed.
A summary with regard to the topic of this study are as follows;
First of all, a great importance of the internal resource factor became clear for estimating
competitiveness of the Residential Facilities for the Disabled, of a professionalism of facility's director and
a secure financial resource in particular, with analyze of significance and relative weights.
In the second place, for the result of analysis affected by the estimation factors of competitiveness
centering around the number of persons, budget, place, valuation results, etc. of the Residential Facilities
for a Disabled, a relative weights of internal resource was high. However, particular lower factors are
different according to respective standard.
Such a results are suggestive to enforce both a necessity focus on capacity of organization centering around
an internal resource and a professionalism of facility's director which is important factor to estimate the
competitiveness in the rapidly changing environment uncertainty and keen competition of nonprofit organization.
