본 연구는 북한이탈청소년들의 남한사회 문화부적응 요인을 규명하고, 성공적인 문화적응을 위한 평생교육의 역할과 과제를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서 울과 경기도에 거주하는 북한이탈청소년을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 면대면 인터뷰를 보완하기 위하여 전화나 이메일 인터뷰를 활용하였다. 연구 참여자들은 가 장 어려운 문화부적응 요인으로 가치관, 언어, 놀이문화, 대중문화, 교우관계 등을 제시하였다. 문화체험과 탈북자에 대한 선입견이나 편견 등 부정적인 시각 전환을 위한 교육 프로그램, 언어 및 말투 교정 프로그램 등 평생학습을 위한 지원을 요구 하였다.
This study aims to examine the factors why adolescents who defected from North Korea do not adapt to Korean culture well, and provide the roles and tasks of lifelong education for their successful adaptation to South Korean culture. To this end adolescent who escaped from North Korea and are living in Seoul and Gyeong-gi Province were interviewed. In order to complement face-to-face interviews, phone and internet interviews were used as well. Participants in this survey presented values, languages, play culture, mass culture, and friendship as the most difficult factors in adapting themselves to South Korean culture. They demanded cultural experiences and support for lifelong educational programs to change negative attitudes toward defectors from North Korea such as prejudices and biases and programs to correct language or way of talking.
