The purpose of the study was to analyze users\' satisfaction and dissatisfaction opinions on their assistive technology devices for electronic & information access and communication in Korea. The survey was conducted by a professional survey company with face-to-face or telephone interviews of 1,518 people with disabilities. The assistive technology devices that respondents mentioned were Hansone 2,SenseReader, Eve for Windows, Sense View(desk), Sense View Pocket(portable), Bandy(portable), Voiceye Mate(portable), Touch Monitor, One-Hand Keyboard, Hangul Keyboard Me-Too, Easy Trackball, Head Z Mouse, Roller Trackball, Visufone PIC 4500 and TelePhoSee WVP-2100D. The users mentioned the strengths of their devices but still required various improvements. The assistive technology devices made in Korea needed continuous upgrades and those made abroad needed in-depth usability test. Users should have sufficient guidance and education to prevent limitation, using the devices. Assistive technology specialists should be placed to match the most appropriate devices for individuals with disabilities, and to provide individualized assistive technology service.
