The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of physical education teachers and middle school students. A physical activity program for the change of level of forgiveness and attitude, which had been developed to solve the problem of school violence, was applied to physical education classes. Data were collected using interviews, classroom diaries of participants, and inductive content analysis. Major findings are as follows. First, the teachers perceptions of the program for forgiveness and attitude were analyzed into importance of teaching process, direction of teaching and learning , goal-oriented and meaningful instruction , opportunity to form learning community culture. Second, the perceptions of middle school students about the physical education program for changing levels of forgiveness and attitude were categorized into formation of affective perspectives , formation of sense of belonging and confidence , peer communication and support , opportunity to overcome alienation of separation and deprivation . The contents of experience and reflection of a forgiveness physical activity classes were analyzed in relation with previous research, and future research directions were presented.
