The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the turnover intention of the activity assistants of the organizations providing the nationwide personal activity
assistance service for the disabled. The subjects of this study were activity assistants working at personal assistance service providers nationwide such as the welfare center for the disabled, the local self‐sufficiency center, the elderly long‐term care institutions, the independent living center for the disabled, and other bodies for the disabled. The questionnaire survey period was from September 29, 2015 to October 08, 2015, and of the 313 questionnaires distributed, 278 were collected and used in this study. Frequency analysis, t‐test, variance analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) 21.0 for statistical analysis. The independent variables include individual factors (perception for the disabled, perception of emotional labor, perception of usefulness of activity assistance service), job factors (role clarity, job repeatability, overall job satisfaction), organizational factors (relationship with dedicated personnel, strictness of regulations, satisfaction of compensation, award system), and subject factors (absence or presence of disability degree, the type of disability, the degree of disability, the level of activity assistance, the type of institution, the caregiver's (family) commitment, and the conflict with the user or guardian). This study set the turnover intension of activity assistants as the dependent variable in accordance for the analysis. In the results of this study, in terms of the analysis of the influence relationships that affect the turnover intention of activity assistants, as the lower the age, the higher the perception of emotional labor, the lower the overall satisfaction with the job, the smaller the number of charge utilization, the greater the service gap with the caregiver, the more unfair treatment the caregiver has, and the higher the burden of service for disabled persons, so there was the more influence on turnover intention.
