영문초록

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effective management strategies for private schools of basic education in Vientiane Capital, the Lao PDR. The qualitative method was used for this research such as document analysis, interviews and analysis techniques for the education of private schools. The results revealed four main and thirty-six auxiliary effective management strategies from those schools in Vientiane Capital were based on. Firstly, the result showed the relationships among important stakeholders. Secondly, it is related to a strategic plan for the implementation and a budget. Thirdly, it is related to a tuition fee payment system and scholarships opportunities. Finally, it is related to the participatory management and links among schools and external sources. It appeared that the right management strategies for private schools of basic education in Vientiane Capital were related to aggressive, diversification, turnaround–oriented and defensive strategies and its sub-strategies. The results can be useful for the Ministry of Education and Sports, private and international organizations, donors, researchers and students to use them on the education and businesses purposes.
