The museum has various functions and roles. Among them, the role of education in museums is becoming increasingly important and meaningful as cultural life expands. The museum also offers customized educational programs for learners with a variety of subjects. When developing an educational program, it is necessary to have a teaching and learning method appropriate to the program to achieve the educational goals and to lead the learning effectively.
In this study, we developed and applied a mobile education program including mobile devices and tools in children’s museum in the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History. In this study, the researchers set up research questions on whether mobile education programs can promote the elements of the contextual learning model, which is the representative theory of museum education. In fact, we confirmed the possibility of a mobile education program to facilitate the contextual learning model elements by applying mobile education program using questionnaire and mind map analysis tool. The researcher developed the mobile education program and set the teaching and learning method as follows. first. mobile device utilization, second. cooperative learning, third. project learning, fourth. 3On s. Mobile devices have become familiar to us in our modern life, and in the future, we will have a more advanced smart age than now. As mobile devices become popular, museums should continue to research and develop educational programs for the digital information age.
