본 연구는 학교위기 개입 실무자들이 학교위기 개입 과정에서 겪는 어려움을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 학교위기 개입 실무자인 전문상담교사 6명, 보건교사 2명, 생활지도 부장교사 및 교감 각 1명, 총 10명을 연구 참여자로 선정하고, 학교위기 개입 과정에서 경험한 어려움에 관하여 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 그리고 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 자료와 연구자의 현장노트, 연구노트를 기본적 질적 자료 분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 자료 분석의 결과 4개의 주제 묶음과 12개의 하위 주제가 나타났으며, 위기 개입 실무자들이 학교위기 개입 과정에서 경험하는 어려움의 주제 묶음은 (1) 역할수행에서의 혼란, (2) 구성원들과의 괴리감, (3) 수행을 방해하는 행정적 여건, (4) 설 자리가 없는 풍토로 요약되었다. 이러한 결과는 학교위기 개입에 있어서 실무자들이 경험하는 어려움과 관련된 문제점 및 원인을 보여주며, 학교위기 예방과 개입을 개선하기 위한 시사점을 제시해 주었다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 의의와 후속 연구를 위한 제안을 제시하였다.
This purpose of this study was to explore the school staff members’ experiences regarding school crisis intervention. Focus Group Interview was conducted with 10 school staff members including 6 professional school counselors, 2 school nurses, 1 advisory teacher in student guidance and 1 vice-principal. Focus group Interview data, researchers’ field notes and research notes were analyzed using the basic qualitative data analysis method. Results included 4 main themes and 12 sub-themes. Four main themes regarding the difficulties of school crisis intervention were as followings: (1) confusion in their role performance, (2) sense of alienation from other school members, (3) interruption caused by administrative works, and (4) feeling no place to go. Results of the study showed the causes and problems related to the difficulties in school crisis intervention and proposed some suggestions to improve crisis prevention and intervention strategies in schools. Finally, contributions of the current study and suggestions for future study were discussed.
