본 연구는 우리나라 청소년들의 친구관계에서의 발달적 특성과 성차를 파악하고자, 초·중·고·대학생 565명의설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 우리나라 청소년들의 친구에 대한 만족도는 전반적으로 높은 편이었다. 모든연령집단에서 친구관계를 유지하기 위해 공통적으로 가장 많이 사용하는 전략은 친구를 위한 물질적 지원이나 긍정적 감정을 느끼게 하는 ‘긍정적행동하기’였고, 가장 선호하는 갈등해결전략은 ‘절충협력’ 전략이었다. 여학생들은 남학생과 비교해서, 친구에 대한 만족도가 더 높았고, 관계유지전략들을 더 많이 사용하였으며, 갈등이 생겼을 때 양쪽이 서로의 욕구를 공평하게 충족하는 방법을 더 선호하였다. 연령집단에 따라 우정만족도를 유의미하게 예측하는 관계유지전략과 갈등해결전략에 각각 차이가 있었으며, 두 전략들 간의 우정만족도에 대한 상대적인 영향력에도 차이가 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
The survey data of 565 elementary, middle, high and university students was analyzed to identify the developmental characteristics and sex differences of friendship in adolescence. Overall satisfaction with their friendship was high. In all age groups, ‘positivity that make friends feel good was the most used relationship maintenance strategy and ‘fair conflict resolution’ was the most preferred strategy. Girls reported higher level of satisfaction with their friends, more devoting efforts to friends and more using of fair conflict resolution strategies for each other than boys. There were differences in relationship maintenance strategies and the conflict resolution strategies that predict significantly friendship satisfaction between four age groups and also a difference in the relative influence of the two strategies on friendship satisfaction. Based on these results, implication of this study were discussed.
