본 연구의 목적은 초심상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의가 상담자 자기효능감과 어떤 관계를 나타내는지를 알아보고, 사회부과 완벽주의와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계를 수퍼비전 관계가 조절하는지를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 상담경력 3년 이하이면서, 수퍼비전 경험이 1회 이상 있는 상담자 220명을 대상으로 사회부과 완벽주의, 상담자 자기효능감, 수퍼비전 관계를 측정하였으며, 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 변인 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초심상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의는 상담자 자기효능감과 유의한 부적 관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 초심상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의는 상담자 자기효능감의 하락과 관련성을 보였으며, 초심상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 수퍼비전 관계의 조절효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 수퍼비전 관계가 사회부과 완벽주의 성향의 초심상담자들의 개인적 특성을 보완할 수 있는 변인임을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 연구결과에 대한 제언 및 연구의 한계를 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between novice counselor’s socially prescribed perfectionism and counselor self-efficacy and to explore whether the supervision relationship moderates the relations between socially prescribed perfectionism and counselor self-efficacy. For this research, 220 novice counselors with less than 3 years of counseling experiences and at least one session of supervision were selected and asked to, complete the Perfectionism scale, Supervision Relationship scale, and Counselor Self-Efficacy scale. Correlation and hierarchical regression analyses were utilized to analyze the relationships among the selected variables. The findings were as follows. First, the counselors’ socially prescribed perfectionism had a significant negative correlation with the counselor self-efficacy. Second, novice counselors’ socially prescribed perfectionism was negatively correlated with the counselor self-efficacy. Lastly, there was a significant moderating effect of the supervision relationship between the novice counselors socially prescribed perfectionism and counselor self-efficacy. These results confirmed that the supervision relationship can act as a buffer against the personal characteristics of novice counselors with socially prescribed perfectionism. Finally, future directions and limitations of the study were discussed.
