The purpose of this study is to explore the role of teachers in primary school physical education and the revitalization of 'expression' area classes and to provide, teachers and students with fun and exciting 'expression' area teaching materials. Furthermore, it aims to propose guidelines for elementary school physical education and ‘expression’ field classes to be actively conducted. The research method of this study was intensive group interviews with 10 primary school teachers who are active participants of the 'body expression activity research group'. The study found that teachers are required to perform the following roles for primary school physical education and ‘expression’ field classes. First, teachers themselves should participate in activities. Second, teachers should set up the learning environment. Third, teachers should prepare for classes. In addition, the following were suggested to activate ‘expression’ field classes in elementary school physical education. First, teachers should grasp the curriculum and lay the theoretical foundation. Second, teachers should prepare practical skills and materials for various class activities through training and education. Third, teachers should study the class and organize it based on theory and practice.
