본 연구는 발달장애아의 비장애 동생인 초등학교 5학년 여아의 모래놀이치료 사례이다. 아동은 오빠를 돌보느라 바쁜 어머니로부터 충분한 사람을 받지 못했다고 토로하였으며, 오빠와 자신을 늘 비교하고 어머니가 차별한다고 여겨 어머니의 사랑을 늘 확인한다고 하였다. 학교에서 실시한 검사에서도 아동이 능력에 비해 자신감이 부족하고 우울감이 높게 보고되어 이러한 정서적 어려움을 주호소 문제로 모래놀이치료에 의뢰되었다. 상담초기에는 주 1회 50분씩, 중기부터는 월 1회 정도로 모래놀이치료가 진행되었다. 그리고 중학교 1학년 중반까지 총 42회기의 모래놀이치료가 실시되었다. 특히 본 연구는 발달장애아의 비장애 형제의 모래놀이치료 과정을 분석한 결과, Neumann, Kalff의 심리발달 이론인 ‘동식물 단계’, ‘투쟁의 단계’, ‘집단에의 적응 단계’를 따른다는 것을 확인하였다.
This study is a case of sandplay therapy of a 5th grade girl who has brother with developmental disability. The client thought that she did not receive as much love and care as she wanted from her parents who took care of her brother. So, the client often tried to confirm her mother s love, compared with her brother and felt her mother was unfairly treating her. Low confidence and high level of depression has been reported by the school psychological test. According to these emotional difficulties, the client was requested to sandplay therapy. In the first half of the session, sandplay therapy was provided 50 minutes each, once a week. But after the middle of the session, it became about once a month, so sandplay therapy were provided in 42 times until three quarter of the first year of middle school. Especially, The sandplay therapy process was analyzed based on the psychological development theory of Neumann and Kalff and confirm that the process of non-disabled child with developmental disorder siblings sandplay therapy is following psychological development level of ‘Stage of Animal/Vegetable’, ‘Stage of Fighting’, ‘Adaptation to the Collective’.
