이 연구는 장애학생 직업기능경진대회에 참가한 특수교사의 대회 준비 실태와 대회에 대한 인식을 알아봄으로써 대회의 발전을 위한 기초 정보를 제공하기 위해 실시하였다. 이를 위하여 2017년 대회에 참가한 전국의 특수교사 151명을 대상으로 대회 준비 실태와 대회에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위한 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 주로 교사의 추천에 의해 선수 선발을 하였고 선수의 적성에 따라 출전 종목을 결정하는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 대회 훈련은 주로 지도교사의 수업이 없는 시간에 이루어졌고, 지도교사의 업무과중이 어려운 점으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대회를 주관해야 할 기관으로는 주로 교육부를 지목하였다. 이 연구의 결과에 따라 대회는 장애의 정도에 따라 폭넓게 참여할 수 있는 종목이 필요하고 경쟁보다는 함께 어우러질 수 있는 축제의 장이 되어야 하며, 대회가 실제 학생의 취업에 도움이 될 수 있도록 유관기관 간의 협력을 강화해야 하고 각 광역자치단체가 아닌 중앙의 기관에서 대회를 추진하여 일관성 확보 및 주기적인 평가와 환류가 이루어져야 함을 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic informations for the development of the contest through the survey of preparation status and perception of the special education teachers who participated in the vocational skills contest for students with disabilities. For this study, a survey was conducted to 151 special education teachers who participated in the contest in 2017 in order to find out status of contest preparation and perception about the contest. The main results of this study were as follows. First, the players were selected by the teacher’s recommendation and considered students’ aptitude to decide participation the events of contest. Second, Training for the contest occurred when the teachers were in break time and the difficult part was heavy workload for the teachers. Third, most of the teachers pointed out the Ministry of Education to manage the contest. The findings imply that Depending on the degree of disabilities, various events of contest are required and there is festival that can be harmonized rather than competition. And it should be strengten cooperation among relevant agencies to ensure that the contest will help the student in actual employment. In addition, it is necessary to promote consistency and periodic evaluation and feedback by promoting the contest in the central organization rather than each province.
