Big data, autonomous cars, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and virtual and augmented reality are becoming more active. In this situation, it is necessary to foster convergent human resources who will lead the industry in the future. One of the ways to do this is the emergence of software education that can improve computing thinking. On the other hand, the Information Education curriculum revised in 2015 by the Ministry of Education included the “Algorithm and Programming” area to reinforce the principles and concepts of computer science. Accordingly, various programming teaching and learning methods and contents are needed. Therefore, this study proposed reconstruction play-centered teaching-learning model based on computing thinking ability that can be applied to elementary school programming education. Some of the various contents such as basic problem, navigation problem and dice game were applied to the proposed model. The satisfaction of learners in terms of computing thinking was investigated.
