The purpose of this study is to find out the changes of Korean Traditional music education in special education and to suggest the way for future by analyzing the process of development. The study was analyzed into eight elementary music textbooks for the basic curriculum of 2008 revision, 2011 revision, and 2015. For the purpose, the researcher analyzed weight, type and contents of curriculum in Korean Traditional music. As a result, the portion of Korean Traditional songs increased as the curriculum was revised, the types of Korean Traditional songs varied, and the contents of activities were also diversified. However, while the types of songs have diversified, the composition of folk songs has been focused on the Namdo folk songs and Gyeonggi Folk Songs. Depending on the nature of the curriculum, the level of activity was presented, and the instrument activity continued to be considered and the use of the instrument did not show any significant differences between the revised curriculum.
