The purpose of this study is to suggest the conditions and the educational practice of the empathy for disability . For this, the attitudes on disability, perspectives of supporting it, the elements and the process of empathy were reviewed. And then, the principles of educational practice for educating the empathy for disability were studies in the aspects of composition of the contents, sharing emotions, and practicing empathy.
As a result, first, for the conditions of the empathy for disability, it is necessary to understand and support disability and its phenomena in the relations between injuries and disabilities, and disabilities and society, and requires the formation of empathy integrating its cognitive, emotional, and practical elements.
Second, for educating empathy for disability, the educational activities were suggested based on the principle of contents with the cases from multiple-dimensional perspectives, the principle of sharing emotions inducing empathy of accuracy and that of deepening, and the principle of emotional practice through disability-empathetic speaking method and altruistic motives.
In addition, the suggestions were made for future studies including basic and utilized researches about the empathy for disability, and the development of the actual sources for educating the empathy for disability in the field of schools.
